Vegas Baby... again!

June 15th will be our 25th anniversary.  yep, true story!

When Scotty and I first met, i approached him and the rest as they say is history.  We are steel tip dart players, and were at the restaurant for dart awards.  I spotted him, in the corner with his friends. I went up and introduced myself, and well,  you know :)  

All of my friends (and his) tried to tell him to steer clear of me. And for good reason. i was a party girl, always up for a fun time.  They all told us it would never last.  We met on January 26th 1991.  We moved in together February 23rd, and got engaged March 23rd.  And to top it off, we were married June 15, 1991.  yep fast.

EVERYONE said it would never last.  but, boy were they wrong.  Sure we've had our ups and downs, but through it all, we did good. Scotty got more than he bargained for when he said 'in sickness and in health'. my health issues are crazy. Diabetic Ketoacidosis.  8 days in the hospital, almost died.  Breast Cancer.  Surgery, chemo and radiation.  He stuck by me through it all. 

I've had to deal with some issues of his. Ear tubes, COPD because of his smoking, and of course he's the most stubborn man i've ever met.

When Jennifer had a serious health problem starting at 10 months.  She had to have a partial kidney removal due to something called Ureterocele. She also had surgery to repair duplex ureters.  Surgeries at 10 months and again at 4 (each 5 day stays at Childrens hospital)

But we've lasted through it all. When we honeymooned in Vegas at the Sahara, we said if we made it to 25 years of marriage, we'd return to stay at Caesars Palace. So, guess what? yep, that is what is happening.

i made a reservation at Caesars for June 13-17.  The very nice supervisor upgraded us (at no extra cost) to the Laurel Collection. If you google it, you'll know what a big deal this is.

Jenny Punkin Pie is coming out from Hawaii to pet and house sit while we are gone.
