Happy Birthday to the biggest princess ever!

ohhhh Happy Birthday to me. Last Monday, June 1st i turned 53 years old. its hard for me to believe that my mom was 53, and now i am. Its funny, Jenny and i were sitting on the couch, on my birthday, and at 8:34pm (i remember the time like it was yesterday) and i looked at Jenny and i said 'you know i have spent the entire day being so wrapped up in my birthday, and i just realized, i'm 53 now!!!!!!!!' She just looked at me and shook her head.

My next door neighbors (our landlords)had a special day planned for us. we had a barbecue, with hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad, chips, salsa etc. We played horseshoes, and then went back to their house for some team Cranium. i'm a great game player, so i was up to the task. I got Scotty as my partner, and when it was all said and done I won. Yes i say I won, because Scotty was no help. I highly recommend the game.

Next up, is our 18th wedding anniversary. June 15th. Hard to believe that its been 18 years. I'll give Scotty credit, why he put up with me all these years, is beyond me. Now, dont let me fool you, he's no prize some of the time either. But, i can depend on him 100 percent. He's a good dad, loyal, and a hard working man. He reminds me so much of my dad. Maybe thats why i stuck with him for so long.

I remember going through breast cancer in 2002, and how Scotty stepped up to the plate. Most men would have blended into the woodwork. But not Scotty, he handled it like a trooper. Let me share a great Scotty story. when i was going through chemo, and had lost my hair, we had taken Jenny to spend the weekend with grandma. At the end of the weekend, we were headed to pick Jenny up. We had some time to spare, so on the way there, i asked Scotty if we could go by and look at the PT Cruisers at the car lot near the inlaws. He was up for it, so we stopped by. Its my favorite car, and we spent about 30 minutes just looking at the cars, sitting in them, etc. Then Scotty said 'you know, you have done so well with chemo, and i'm very proud of you, lets go get you your car'. Right there on the car lot! and with that, we picked out the car, and drove it off the lot. I still have that car today, and i love it like another child. What Scotty said that day, means more to me than anyone will ever know, and when i see my car, i remember.

oh, i also have a big cough. I dont have a cold, or a fever, nothing. Just a cough. Its deep down in my chest, and i honk. Yup, like a goose. I'll give it a couple of weeks, and if it doesnt go away, i'll call the doc.

Here's some birthday pics. it was a fun day!
