same place but different

We have lived in our lovely town, that i call Walton's Mountain for 12 years. We've rented a cute little home over a garage. Because we always paid on time, and asked for absolutely nothing, our rent stayed the same all 12 years that we lived here.

then, our landlord passed away, and his son is selling all of his properties. So, we had to move.  The odds of finding something in our tiny mountain town to rent were slim, to almost none. We were planning on moving to Arizona, Bullhead City, Kingman, that area. Then, finally, something fell in our lap in Walton's Mountain!

A friend of mine had a small studio condo available. it is perfectly priced, cute and right down the road from our other place.  We moved in on the first.  It'll take some getting used to since it's a studio, but we'll make due. so the move to Arizona will have to wait. i love my version of Walton's Mountain.

we were told we could have a pet if we wanted, but i just cannot bring myself to do it.  i'm just not strong enough to deal with losing another pet.  2 in one year almost did me in.

We have a new president. This makes me happy. i tried, in the beginning to like tRump, but he just seemed to have snapped.  I'm not sure, but it seems like he is trying to become a dictator of some sorts. Once they get this mess of the election sorted out, maybe he can move on. But, his track record speaks for itself. And it's a shame, because he did do quite a few good things in office, but, at the rate he's going, he will only be remembered for how he ended his presidency.  Such a shame.

That is all the politics i'll talk about.  I do love my country and what we stand for. i'll be glad when this Covid crap is done (if it ever is). I just want to go to a store without a mask, without worrying that i'll get infected. i want to go to a bar and have an over priced bottle of Miller Lite. i want to go to Vegas, Laughlin, Oatman, or any town that'll have me.  Traveling is what i miss.

I hope whoever reads this is having a good day.  xoxo
