Its just a lazy saturday. When is winter again??

its a beeeeyooootiful day here on Waltons Mountain. Its a tad warm for me (75 degrees), since i love the cold weather. So, i went to our local library, and checked out some videos to watch, in the comfort and coolness of my little piece of heaven house.

i rented How Green Was My Valley with Walter Pigeon and Maureen O'Hara. I can't believe I've never seen it! I love love old movies, so I don't know how this one slipped by me. I also rented Holiday with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. I love ANY movie with these two in it, so I can't wait to watch it. Last but not least, i rented Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon. i've already seen this 3 or 4 times, but this movie most definitely sends a message, tells a story, and really makes you see what happens after a soldier is killed in war.

Hubs cousin Jeffrey Bisson was killed in Iraq January 20, 2007 at the age of just 22. here's one of the many articles about him.
http://www.iraqwarheroes.com/bisson.htm. All his family and friends went through hell trying to make sense of it. Taking Chance deals with the process of getting the soldiers body from the place of death, to the final resting place. All the while accompanied by a military escort. Kevin Bacon is awesome as the Colonel that accompanies the body. Its a story that really makes you think, and i HIGHLY recommend it.

So, while i'm getting ready to watch one of my movies, i see that Dirty Dancing is on! Yes, I've seen the movie.........at least 100 times. AND i own 2 copies of the DVD. But, i just love to watch Patrick Swayze dance. RIP Patrick.

Thats it for today. Just some random mountain folk stuff. :)
