Vegas Baby

Yikes, its been a while since i have posted. I would love to say that its because i've been crazy busy with my career and family, but that'd be a lie. I have been busy, but just with silly small stuff. But i'm here now, right?

Hub and i went to Las Vegas October 15-18.  It was our first vacation together alone since we were married in 1991.  It was always my choice to not leave the kids at home while we went somewhere. I felt that since they were my children, it was my job to care for them.  

We stayed at South Point hotel, which is on the Vegas strip but about 10 miles south.  I absolutely loved this hotel.  Big, beautiful and well cared for.  We couldn't beat the deal that we got, so we thought we'd try it out. I will say we'll stay there again for SURE!  Since our car has 100k miles, my daughters boyfriend, Albert, told us to use his car.  It was a 2009 VW Jetta.  It is a cute little car, and perfect for our drive.

We had a great time, it was fun getting away, but by the time our last day came i was ready to leave. I didn't have much luck gambling,but hub cleaned up.

in other news, Jenny got a job at Vons. She started today.  She has worked at the little diner in our tiny town for over two years. She started working there when she was 16.  She's moved with her boyfriend and it was just more convenient to work closer to where she lived.  She put in her two week notice at the diner. My baby is growing up.

 Thats it for now.  We went to Disneyland for Jenny's 19th birthday (19?, oh nooo!). i'll post about that in a couple of days.  Thanks so much for taking the time to read this.  I gotta spice up the Disney blog, right?
